Ohio Couple Suing The Author of "A Gronking To Remember" For Using Their Engagement Photo On the Cover

Bostonherald – An Ohio couple has filed a lawsuit against the author of the racy soft-porn book, “A Gronking to Remember,” as well as Apple, Amazon.com andBarnes & Noble, saying their picture was used without their permission on the cover of the “less than tasteful” tome about a woman’s fantasy sexcapades with Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski — and they’re totally embarrassed! The couple, identified only as John and Jane Roe, say the photo — depicting “John” kissing “Jane” on the forehead while she wraps her arms around his neck — was taken “as part of their engagement journey leading towards their wedding.”

“The subject matter of the book ‘A Gronking to Remember’ is less than tasteful and is offensive,” the lawsuit states. “The use of the plaintiffs’ image has held them up to ridicule and embarrassment. This outrageous connection has been further aggravated when the book with the plaintiffs’ image has been reproduced in the media nationwide.”
They were not compensated for the use and they didn’t put the pic on the Internet “for expropriation as the color photograph on the cover of these books,” the suit says.
The couple is asking the court to award “any profits derived from and attributable to” the unauthorized use, or $10,000, compensatory damages of $25,000, attorneys fees, court costs, expenses and treble damages.

When I first read this article I thought for sure they were going to be talking about using unauthorized pictures of Gronk. Never dreamed it was going to be the couple kissing on the front. Seems like such an outrageous move just to find some random couple kissing on Google Images and make it the cover of your book. It would be like taking a random picture of Jessica Biel or Lindsay Lohan and making it the cover of your bi-weekly newspaper. No way that doesn’t come back to bite you in the ass. However having said all that the people suing are the biggest losers on the planet. Like calm down about all the embarrassment and ridicule. This is honestly the best thing that could ever happen with engagement photos. To be immortalized in The Gronking to Remember book. If you can’t laugh at that you have no soul and should be euthanized.
